 Company History

Hoffmann Filter Corporation was founded by Georg Hoffmann in May of 1984 in Novi, Michigan as a sales office for Hoffmann Maschinen- und Apparatebau GmbH in Germany. Due to enormous success that Hoffmann Filter received, HFC began designing and manufacturing its own equipment in 1985 and quickly proved itself as a major force in the American market.

In the beginning, Hoffmann Filter offered Precoat filters, but the line of products soon expanded as Pressure filters and Gravity Band filters were added. After the addition of Suction Band Filters to the Hoffmann equipment line, HFC moved to a larger facility in Wixom, Michigan. In the four years that Hoffmann Filter worked in Wixom, the company continued to design the most functional and versatile coolant filtration equipment in the industry and soon outgrew its 12000 sq ft facility. In 1996, to keep up with the demand of continuing manufacturing fine quality filtration systems, Hoffmann Filter purchased land in a newly developed industrial complex in Brighton where a large 15,000 square feet plant was built.

Due to a fast growing interest in large central filter systems, Hoffmann Filer Corporation decided to expand. In February of 2004, Hoffmann Filter began construction of a 15,000 sq ft addition to the existing facility, which will double the floor space. By June of this year, HFC plans to elevate itself in to a new level of manufacturing.

Hoffmann Filter Corporation has been designing custom coolant filtration equipment for automotive, aircraft, medical, cutting tool, and electronic industries.
