Position

Mechanical Design Engineer / Full-time

Hoffmann Filter Corporation is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer that is a talented and motivated individual looking for a challenging opportunity to work for a small, family-style organization. Our ideal candidate will be somebody who is eager to learn about our state-of-the-art filtration systems, and has the skills and creativity to help us in our quest to continue to lead the industry in quality of product. You will need to work well with our existing team, as well as our customers and vendors. Additionally, you must be able to prioritize and multi-task as you work on several projects at the same time.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Able to fully coordinate and/or produce complete designs and documentation via drawing sets and project specifications (CAD design and development abilities)
  • Efficiently and effectively manage projects and tasks with minimal supervision and in a timely manner according to the needs of the production schedule.
  • Influence development of processes and procedures for engineering and work with vendors and manufacturers for sourcing and quoting components
  • Knowledge in process instrumentation (flow, level, pressure) and as well as troubleshooting, problem solving and debugging tests to determine root cause of failures and corrective actions
  • Assist with continuous product development; including performance and quality improvements, cost reductions, component obsolescence, and failure analysis
  • Interface with team members, customers, and suppliers to create new filter designs and innovations
  • Demonstrate effective organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities, have an acute attention to detail, the ability to receive direction, and be a high energy team player with the ability to work both independently and in a group environment
  • Other duties as required

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Four (4) year degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent in professional experience
  • One (1+/-) year of professional engineering experience
  • Three (3) years AutoCAD experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite
